Q: Can LuminIQ extract text from scanned PDF contracts that are more like images?
A: Yes. As part of the LuminIQ release, scanned documents are now extracted as accurately as digital ones
Q: Are more fields now extractable compared to Gatekeeper's previous AI functionality?
A: Definitely. Lumin Extract now supports custom fields too, so there's no longer a limit to what can be pulled—if the data exists in the contract, we can extract it.
Q: Will Lumin Agents review historical approvals/rejections or just new ones?
A: Lumin will review new items moving forward, but you can also reprocess old approvals through the Agent if needed.
Q: Can we override an Agent's decision—for example, reject something they approved?
A: Yes. You can always override Lumin Agents by placing them earlier in the workflow before (or alongside) your usual human approvals.
Q: Do Lumin Agents understand languages other than English?
A: Yes. Agents are multilingual, and we’ll publish a full list in our knowledge base (articles coming soon).
Q: How do we configure what a Lumin Agent checks or approves?
A: All Agent configuration is handled by Gatekeeper. Join the waitlist and we’ll set up your agent with you.
Q: Can Lumin provide a reason for rejection and store that in the workflow history?
A: Yes. You can fully configure the rejection messaging—including tone and format—and all outputs are saved in the history tab.
Q: Are Lumin Agents configured per workflow or globally?
A: They’re tenant-wide. A single configured Agent can be used across multiple workflows and phases.
Q: Will contracts referencing obligations (like DORA) be detected?
A: Yes. You can set up custom fields like “DORA relevance” and Lumin Extract will populate these for you.
Q: Can clients control the decision criteria used by the Agents?
A: Yes. You define the logic, and Agents operate based on that. Human oversight is also built in.
