The latest enhancements to Gatekeeper

Messaging Enhancements

Gatekeeper’s Messaging Platform has been updated to maximise collaboration and ease of use.

What does this mean for you?

We’ve built upon the existing key functions. The look and feel of messaging threads and comments have been updated to make them easier to digest and to give a more conversational feel. A full run-through of our new messaging functionality can be found in our updated Help Doc for Messaging

Three major new enhancements introduced in this update are outlined below:

1. Workflow Messaging

We have extended our Messaging Platform to Workflow Cards. This much-requested feature brings the full power of messaging right within our Workflow engine. Workflow cards have their own recorded message history with all internal and external parties as the card progresses through the workflow.

Employee Portal and Supplier Portal users will be able to access messages alongside their form submissions within their portal.

Workflow Message comments will also appear as emails from Gatekeeper which can be responded to from any email client. This means you can reply to a workflow message without needing to log in to Gatekeeper.

What does this mean for you?

Keeping communications audited and isolated in one place across a workflow will reduce time spent in discussion and improve efficiency. We have created a new Help Doc for Workflow Messaging that outlines some scenarios where being able to send messages through workflows will help improve productivity.

2. Tagging within Messages

You can now use @ to tag people within messages. A clearer way of differentiating between internal and external recipients has also been introduced.

What does this mean for you?

Leveraging avatars will help to bring a personal touch to conversations. Tagging streamlines the process for communicating through messaging. Allowing users to adjust recipients and highlight items for individual attention in a more modern and user-friendly way.

3. Modal Windows have been introduced to our Employee Portal

We have introduced modal windows to the Employee Portal in order to allow users of the Portal to be able to open, complete and update their forms in one place. This will also allow for a Form tab and a Message tab within the same window.

What does this mean for you?

Enhancing the usability of the Employee Portal will reduce time waiting for users to respond to questions and enable easier form submissions.
